Beginning of the century, the means of transport of passengers and merchandises was the most important maritime.

The arrival of a ship was an event in a city gently caressed by the waters of the Rio Guayas, romantically dressed with noble wood used in the construction of their homes, beautified its vegetation and the breeze that cooled and kept his people in a love landscape in a port of the 1900s.

Since 1910 after the ringing of this, Mr. Francisco Recalde Rites, was preparing to set sail on a barge with an immigration officer and a couple of sailors bound for the Puna Island where acoderaban vapors.
